OK, I’m so over this stupid reliability issue on Blogdrive.

What on earth could be so difficult in providing a reliable blog service? Really? What started as a joke is now living beyond its means. If this ridiculous situation is not remedied within a few days, I’m closing my account and moving elsewhere and I will actively encourage others to do the same. The only way the Blogdrive owners are going to start listening is if these problems start having an impact on their revenue stream.

All these problems, with blogs across the board in pieces, and not a whisper from the owners of the service. They seem to be happy to just hide behind a few self appointed Blogdrive champions who try to pacify the masses with watery excuses about the nature online services.

Sigh.

I’m not by nature a flamer, but this is just going too far. Sort it out Blogdrive or close up and let us all move on. It’s really that simple.

I pay a good amount of money, the top rated plan in fact, for this second rate service and my patience is rapidly running out.

It’s not the principle,

you should keep your whinings to yourself since you have no idea what's at stake here, ssprite. People are here to complain for good reasons. Besides you have no idea what NeverX stands for or how the corporate system works.

echobelly, it seems like a time to roll out a "backing up your blog" function or "export your entries" function. If possible at all...

I'm a little shocked. Take a pill.

Like I said, I'm just getting frustrated at a. the service being provided, and b. the lack of any information, or explanation, from the Blogdrive management.

I have no idea what or who NeverX is, and frankly I don't care. All I do know is that I pay a good, market rate for the service here at BD and get very little that is satisfactory in return. Surely that's grounds for a little grumble?

On the plus side, things do seem a little better today as I'm now able to see my posts and comments. But if this does not remain the case, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

In the meantime I would appreciate anyone connected with the company, even if it is by self appointed association, to keep their prejudicial, puerile opinions to the themselves.

Oh, and just an aside, whistles don't ring, they whistle... the clue is in the name..

Dear Mister AchingBelly..,

I realize this is like a year late and a dollar short - and you have probably moved on by now - and you may or may not even read this reply, but thats okay.., I have something to say and I want to say it. Therefore, I will say it.

I have no idea what you expect from a fancier blog. Traffic? Good luck. If you aren't getting traffic here, you wont anywhere else without effort. If you're looking for friends - there are many here if you make an effort.

Blog-Drive management works hard for the money, works hard for the money..., works hard for the money... (i think there's a song in that somewhere) ..., and doing what needs doing is not easy. If it was, you'd be running your own Blog Community, Einstein.

To me, no matter how few friends I found on Blog Drive, they are like family. Some of them are starchy, colorful and even flamboyant but the key factor in being part of a Blog Community is not how many readers but the quality (friends) whether they tag my blog or not.

Money is important on some things - and on others - you just cant place a dollar amount on friends. So if you are determined to pack your toys and go away - fine!!! Just don't go away mad. Just .., go away.

I think thats all I got to say about that. **thinking** Yup. Thats about all I gotta say about that. Just remember this; Momma said life is like a box of chocolates. Sometimes you get the caramels and sometimes., you end up with a few nuts. Go to your new blog community and enjoy - you're nuts.

Just read your response, um, ooohkay.

I have a blog and I pay for it. Back then, blogdrive was down more than it was up, and nobody was keeping us up to date with what was happening. So, like any customer paying good money for a service that was substandard, I complained. Perhaps over-zealously, but I was frustrated.

Eventually the problems were solved, reliability was improved and I was happy customer. Normality restored.

I don't really understand why that upsets you?

I take your point about community, really I do. I have met some amazing people since joining blogdrive and I have no intentions of going elsewhere. I like it here. It's not about traffic, or readers, its about having an outlet, a place put it all down. I'm sorry if it came across otherwise.

You seem like a reasonable person, but I think your response to my genuine frustration at last year's problems was a little misplaced.

Let's all be friends eh?
